Sr. Quality Engineer

Introduction

We are looking for a friendly and highly analytical Sr. Quality Engineer to join our Customer Care team. To further expand iRobot Japan's business, you will be involved in quality improvement work through activities such as product evaluation, inspection, and tracking quality performance in the market.
By delivering high-quality products, we aim to ensure that every customer can use our products with confidence and peace of mind and become a fan of iRobot products. Quality engineering is an indispensable task for providing high-quality products, participating from the planning stage, and maintaining stable quality for a long period of time, not only during sales but also until the end of support.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

• Plan and execute Japan quality assurance and management from new product planning phase
• Plan and execute pre-shipment inspections at overseas manufacturing factories (remote or at factories)
• Plan and execute sampling inspections in Japan at factories or warehouses for each import lot
• Achievement of KPI targets by tracking and improving quality performance in market (collaboration with head office quality department)
• Reporting and actions to market complaints
• Reporting and actions to discovered / reported defects (including rework, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Over 5 years of quality control, production technology, or customer support experiences (Experience in home appliances is a plus.)
• Over 3 years of management experience in outsourcing vendors
• High logical thinking and analytical skills
• High schedule management ability
• Reporting skills using Microsoft Office Tools
• Native level Japanese and high communication skills
• Business-level English (can communicate with overseas teams)

• 新製品開発段階における国内での品質保証・管理計画の立案および運用
• 海外製造協力工場での出荷前品質確認検査の計画と実施（リモートまたは現地）
• 輸入ロット毎の国内協力工場・倉庫での抜き取り検査の計画と実施
• 市場品質の把握と改善によるKPI目標の達成（本社品質部門との協業）
• 市場クレームに対する報告書作成および対応
• 発見・報告された不具合への対応（リワーク等含む）

必要条件

• 5年以上の品質管理・生産技術・カスタマーサポート経験（家電製品経験は尚可）
• 3年以上のアウトソーシングベンダーのマネジメント経験
• 高い論理的思考、分析力を持つ方
• 高いスケジュール管理能力を持つ方
• マイクロソフトオフィスツールの使用経験
• 日本語がネイティブの方、高いコミュニケーションスキルを持つ方
• ビジネスレベルの英語力を持っている方（海外窓口との折衝が可能なレベル）
