As the leading global consumer robotics company, iRobot enables people to do more in taking care of their home. We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the EMEA Business Unit. With exposure to the GM & VP of the region, as well as the rest of the EMEA Leadership Team, this cross functional role will be primarily responsible for the forecasting and strategic planning of the region. Partnering with financial counterparts in other areas of the business, the Senior Financial Analyst will bring thoughtful analysis and business insights to enhance our forecast accuracy.What You Will Do:
- Be a business partner to the EMEA organization, supporting them with financial analyses and insights that enables the team to make sound business decisions
- Clear understanding of the regional/channel P&Ls, explaining growth drivers and deviations from budget to the regional leadership team and driving actions to deliver performance.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and business planning - liaising with stakeholders on key business decisions. Drive the monthly and quarterly financial forecast process ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the global process run across the organisation.
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis or projects required by the regional manager and director to better understand and improve the local financial position.
- Develop and implement tools and processes for tracking financial targets and identifying issues.
- Liaise with DTC to better understand and bridge operational performance to financial expectations.
- Collaborate and align with the Accounting team on the month end close process and methodologies, ensuring that we meet HQ deadlines.
- Thorough analysis of variances vs. forecast, budget, and prior year including price/volume analysis and gross margin bridges.
- Lead continuous process improvements, recommending standardization and optimization through innovation and leveraging best practices.
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Experience with business partnership and becoming part of the business team to support all functions, ideally in a global company.
- Strong business acumen with ability to propose positive business solutions, insights and actions from data and analysis.
- Have a history of working with data sets, in some cases large and frequently changing, and be able to consolidate and automate functions to reduce processing times of reporting.
- Proficient with Hyperion, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Adaptable and collaborative working style that is comfortable within a high energy, fast-paced environment and handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to present data in a clear and concise manner to senior and executive leaders.
