Introduction

iRobot, a pioneering global leader in consumer robotics, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trade Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in executing trade marketing strategies and activities across France and the Netherlands and also provide asset management support for our distribution partners as and when needed. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in trade marketing, superior project management skills, and an understanding of the retail landscape in these key markets. This role will support the Senior Sales and Trade Marketing Manager for France and report directly to the Senior Channel Marketing Manager, EMEA.

What You Will Do:

Localization Oversight:

  • Review and approve materials from the localization team, ensuring the accuracy and quality of French and Dutch content.
  • Drive localisation requests with distribution partners to ensure timely delivery as and when needed.

Trade Marketing Strategy Implementation:

  • Execute comprehensive trade marketing plans and promotional activities to drive sales growth and elevate brand visibility in France and the Netherlands.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Marketing Manager to ensure local activities are in sync with regional strategies.
  • Build compelling PDPs and brand for retailers across France and the Netherlands in-line with global guidelines. Regularly check and improve and adjust as needed.

EMEA Distributor support:

  • Support our distributor partners ensuring they have plans, toolkits, assets, presentations and core marketing materials to drive the business
  • Ensure distributor markets quarterly marketing ATL plans are on track with shared investments plan (Marketing Contribution Agreement) and activities and submissions are approved and executed in line with process.

Retailer Engagement:

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, ensuring seamless communication and effective collaboration.
  • Develop and implement compelling in-store marketing programs, including point-of-sale materials, displays, and promotional events.

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour in the retail environment.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize trade marketing initiatives and enhance market share.

Campaign Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of trade marketing campaigns, from planning and budgeting to execution and post-campaign analysis.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Marketing, and Creative, to ensure cohesive and impactful campaigns.

Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of trade marketing activities, using key metrics and sales data to assess effectiveness.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the trade marketing budget for France and the Netherlands, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources.
  • Track expenditures and provide regular updates to the Senior Channel Marketing Manager.

To Be Successful You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in trade marketing, preferably within the consumer electronics or FMCG industry.
  • Consumer product communications experience with a technology-driven consumer product company.
  • Analytical skills to assess program performance and ROI.
  • Experience with small appliance or consumer electronic industries highly preferred.
  • Experience with retail and direct sales channels; knowledgeable on growth strategies
  • Experience launching products for international markets highly desired.
  • Customer focused with high integrity.
  • Highly organized and very strong, proven project management skills.
  • Multi-tasking, ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Demonstrate both “Can Do” and “We Win as a Team” attitudes.
  • Be an ambassador of change.

Languages:

  • Fluency in French and Dutch (both written and spoken) is essential.
  • Proficiency in English.

Other:

  • Willingness to travel within France, the Netherlands, and occasionally to other EMEA regions.
